Our History

The Society was formed in 1956.   In virtually all years since then two shows have been performed, one in Spring and the other in Autumn.   A summary of all our plays can be found on the "Previous Shows" page on this website.

 Our Venue 

West Moors Memorial Hall has a seating capacity of about 100 and room for its own bar during performances.   See  the pictures below illustrating our facilities.

  Our Membership

 

We are a small group of players, no more than 25 members.   However many have stayed with the Society for many years both acting and assisting in all those behind the scenes tasks.   There is always room for more members whether treading the boards or supporting behind the scenes.   We meet every Tuesday whilst a play is in production.   This is usually January to April and September to end November.   We also have special events such as our Christmas Dinner and a barbecue in the Summer.
